Tempered Glass
Heat-treated safety glass that withstands impact and, if broken, fragments into blunt granules.
The glass passes through a tempering furnace at high temperature and is then rapidly and evenly quenched, giving it impact and thermal-stress resistance several times that of annealed glass.
On breakage it disintegrates into small blunt granules, which makes it the standard choice for doors, partitions, facades and anywhere building codes call for safety glass.
